It isn’t everyday you can stroll through an ancient city, exactly the way it was in 79 AD— where you see that people were alive one minute, perished the next. Pompeii is a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and little has changed in this world of natural disasters. Impactful for me were the cobblestone roads, skillfully fitted together, leading to homes, shops, temples, everyday places. Everyday life frozen in time. Mixed media painting is framed, ready to hang.
